Her acclaimed films have garnered international recognitions and accolades, recognized for their artistic communication. Tara Violet Niami
Cinematographer
Tara Violet Niami is an Iranian-British Australian American cinematographer and fine art/fashion photographer based in Los Angeles, holding dual US and UK citizenship. As a queer woman and a first-generation American child of immigrants, Tara is deeply passionate about visually bringing to life the stories of marginalized individuals facing discrimination. She challenges historical stereotypes and the colonial gaze to compassionately represent these communities and their experiences. Inspired by artists like Lynne Ramsay, Forugh Farrokhzad, Francesca Woodman, and others, Tara's work reflects a blend of cultural influences and a commitment to fostering understanding and inclusivity.
